Rëra has 5 (five) clans and each clan has their sub- clans. These are given below:

The forefathers of each clan were same but different nomenclature or sub- clan existed by adopting the pet name given to their descendants by their parents. Thus, marriage amongst the clan is not accepted but marriage among the clan is accepted except marriage between Chumbu and Lishey clans since these two clans are brothers.
